REGATHERING ANNOUNCEMENT-NOVEMBER 18, 2020
The NCC church board is recommending that we make in-person worship available again on both the Nampa (10:45AM) and Middleton (9:30) campuses beginning this Sunday, November 22. While the state remains in stage two and the county in the red categories related to the COVID virus, we will still recommend that Sunday school classes, small groups, and age group ministries remain online. We will also not be offering childcare, children's church, or the Sacred Rhythms service at this time.
Part of the reason this is possible is because of how well you, as a congregation, have been responding through the fall. So we will strongly continue to encourage the following practices and protocols for in-person gatherings:
- Wear a face covering
- Practice social distancing
- Limit interactions before and after the service
- Sit together as families
- Do not attend if you are at risk or feeling ill
Because we expect that the majority of the congregation will continue to engage online, we have tried to improve that experience by making a few adjustments to lighting, seating, and the position of cameras in the Nampa sanctuary. This may create some adjustments for those attending in-person for just these next few weeks. Your patience is appreciated.
For a few Sundays, we will make use of a limited number of ushers and greeters, but as always, we could use volunteer help if you are available (contact firstname.lastname@example.org).
Thank you again for the ways you have stayed connected, remained engaged, and encouraged during this time. It appears that, if we can persevere for two or three more months, there is a light at the end of this tunnel. In the coming days I will be sharing with you doors that this time may have opened for us and new opportunities for us as a church in the spring and summer. I remain encouraged and, especially in this season, remain thankful for each of you. Please stay safe and please keep praying for those in our church working in the medical field and as decision makers in our community.
