What is Community on Mission?

Communities on Mission are people who share life together, grow as disciples of Jesus, and find ways to bear witness to the new creation in our city. If you are interested in joining a community on mission, contact Danny Atkins.

Vision of Communities on Mission?

To reflect the New Creation through intentional rhythms of community and mission.

Who makes up Community Mission?

Everyone can be a part of a Community on Mission! Communities on Mission are groups of up to 5-20 people, consisting of people both new to faith and mature in faith.

Our Different Communities on Mission:

If you are interested in getting more information about a community on mission, you can contact the church office during our regular office hours or email datkins@nampaccn.com. We can get you the contact information for the CoM you are interested in.

  • We prepare and serve dinner once per month at the 4th St. Family Shelter that is run by the Salvation Army. We serve on the first Wednesday of the month and we meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

    Contact Person: Deanna Kinsman

  • Our CoM serves regularly with Nampa YoungLife in a variety of capacities to reach young people in our schools with the love of Christ. We meet every second Wednesday in the early evening for community time. We have different rhythms with supporting younglife becuase we each have different roles.

  • Our CoM is working to establish relationships with individuals and families that live around College Church. Our desire is to build a community of both people from College Church and the neighborhood that cares for each other. We want the neighborhood to see our community as a safe place, and to experience the Church in an authentic way. We make pancakes (soon to be hotdogs) every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month at Hope Park for the neighborhood. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday evenings for dinner as a Community Group.

Contact: Liz Pierce or Danielle Pearson

  • Our CoM serves with the Middleton Food Pantry and the Greater Middleton Parks and Rec District (GMPRD). We help the Middleton Food Pantry box and distribute food to families in our local community. We work with the GMPRD at community events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Harvest Festival, etc. Our work with the Middleton Food Pantry helps to meet the physical needs of our community while our work with the GMPRD helps us to increase our connections to the wider community. We meet every first and third Sunday for an evening of food and community. Most of our mission opportunities are on Saturdays.

  • Our CoM group provides a monthly dinner and chapel to Valley Women's Shelter, and chapel to the Recovery Lodge. We do this to partner, serve and support a Christian organization that is providing shelter and sustenance to a population in need. We serve on the third Monday of every month.
