PASTORAL RESIDENCY

Program Overview

Nampa College Church of the Nazarene (NCC) desires to select graduate level students from the Church of the Nazarene with “a heart of integrity and skillful hands” (Psalm 78:72) to participate in this program. The residency program is a 24-month program that begins on June 1st.

Residents will work 30-hours per week in their residency, leaving additional time for graduate work. Residency positions will have a primary ministry focus (20-hours per week), as well as rotations (10-hours per week) in various ministry areas (age group ministry, worship, administration, congregational care, and preaching).

The goal of this program is to prepare ministers for the breadth and scope of lead or senior pastor ministry. Those selected for the residency receive: housing, medical insurance, tuition assistance, and a monthly stipend.

Why NCC’s Residency?

Nampa College Church (NCC) has a long history of investing into emerging pastoral leaders. Located adjacent to Northwest Nazarene University, NCC invests into the spiritual, relational, and vocational lives of students through a variety of means (participation in the life of the congregation, weekly worship, internships, and more). With our proximity to NNU, there are many unique opportunities to minister to college students and young adults, as well as thoughtfully engage in intergenerational discipleship. Our church is a supportive community who prays for, invests in, and believes in young leaders.
