About Us

Our Community Projects are at work to extend the love of Christ through acts of compassion, faithful presence, and supporting existing organizations at work within our community. If you have a project or volunteer opportunity that you would like to make a NCC Community Project, please fill out the form on this page.

  • We volunteer in a variety of ways to assist the work of the Boise Rescue Mission in Nampa. This includes hosting yearly meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas time, as well as doing regular chapels at the Valley Women and Children’s Shelter.

  • The Mentoring Network pairs qualified individuals to students in local schools. Mentors meet once a week to provide support, encouragement, and a listening ear. It is a opportunity to pour grace and love into the lives of children that need an adult to love and encourage them.

  • YoungLife comes alongside high school and middle school students by going to them, building bridges of authentic friendship, and introducing them to Jesus Christ.

  • We reach out to mothers of preschoolers (MOPS) and mothers of kids in elementary school. We connect them with fellow moms on the same journey, as well as moms who are a few years ahead of them. We do this to help give care and support to the mom and her family. During the summer we meet at local parks to build friendship with other moms in our community. We are always looking for men & women to help with childcare during our meetings, which run on the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month. Our goal is to be an instrument of grace in the lives of moms in our neighborhood and beyond. We seek to be the hands of a loving God toward these families.

  • Various volunteer opportunities are ongoing at Lifeline PCC. These include work with clients seeking counsel regarding unplanned pregnancies, clothing distributed for women and babies, and working on fundraisers to support the mission of Lifeline. Working with Lifeline PCC gives our NCC family the opportunity to express Christ's love, grace, and care for women, men and babies in a time of crisis.

  • We provide medical equipment and supplies to meet needs both locally and globally. We need volunteers to sort and prepare supplies for global shipments, and front desk people to help check out local loan medical equipment. Medical knowledge is helpful, but not necessary to sort and pack medical supplies for shipping. Hands of Hope will provide any training that is needed. This organization began as an outgrowth of NCC about 30 years ago to help people with unmet medical needs. Jesus said to help our brothers and sister, and that is what we do.

  • Breaking Chains is an awesome ministry in North Nampa that serves high school students who don't fit in a traditional school system in order to provide mentorship, help them get their GED, and successfully transition into adulthood. There are a few ways to volunteer: cleaning on Friday evenings and meal support.

  • This project is for any people who would be interested in how NCC uses its facilities, including our very own Hope Park, to better befriend and love our neighborhood. This project is in a preliminary stage. We hope to launch this project in the Fall.
