Worship Arts Ministry

About Us

Humans are, by nature, worshippers. We understand the value and importance of our corporate worship gatherings and we are committed to forms of worship and discipleship that intentionally and purposefully attempt to counter-form us as reflections of Jesus. There are a variety of positions and places for people to connect and serve within worship arts.

Musical Arts

  • Our large singing ensemble open to anyone 13yrs and older. No audition necessary, just a willing heart to worship and sing. The WLC frequently participates in our Sacred Space Worship service through worship leading and special music.

    Rehearsals are Wednesday nights at 6:15pm

  • Our worship band & vocal teams partner with the WLC and the congregation in worship. The worship band and vocal teams are audition based groups. Auditions are held once a year (fall) and is open to anyone 15yrs and up. Those auditioning should be proficient at their instrument, have the ability to read chord charts/music, and harmonize(vocals).

  • Coming in 2022 this collective of diverse singers & worship leaders will learn and use different forms of musical worship (jazz, black gospel, a capella) and help lead our congregation in our Sacred Space Worship service and other nights of worship and community events.

  • Grace Notes is our Senior Adult Choir(60yr+). Each season these singing saints perform for retirement communities and care centers. In addition they host a spring concert tour(usually out of state).

  • The Handbell Choir is a season ensemble that participates in our services and special events. The Handbell choir is open to anyone 15 year and older. Experience is not necessary.

Technical Arts

  • Our sound team is the backbone of our ministry. These engineers operate sound for both our in-person and online worship gatherings. Must be at least 15 years old to serve as an engineer. Experience is not required, and training is provided.

  • These specialist provide support in projection of lyrics and videos during our worship gatherings. We currently use Propresenter software and trying is provided for those interested in this position.

  • The production manager helps us confirm all the details are in place for our Sunday worship gatherings. The production manager assist the Technical Arts director and video director in any set or clean up of the ministry and service. In addition the PM secures that each element in service happens in real time.

  • The Video Switcher is responsible for calling all the camera shots and angles that will be used during the live stream of the worship gatherings. This position is a fast paced position that requires multitasking as well as an eye for shots and angles. Although experience is not required, training is provided.

  • The camera engineers are the people who operate cameras for our worship gatherings. Engineers are trained during our worship team rehearsals. Engineer positions are open to anyone 13 yrs and older.

Creative Arts

  • NCC has had a rich tradition of presenting musical productions. And though the productions change, the goal of proclaiming the gospel through music, dance, drama and technical arts, is still a vibrate part of our ministry.

  • We are always looking to invite creative and artistic people to help in content creation through graphic design. This work, adds to the environment of worship while providing sources of encouragement on our digital platforms. Those who would want to serve should have experience with graphic design and digital content creation.

  • To help those in our graphic design ministry, we are looking to develop and encourage people with the gift of photography. Photos are valued resource for the church and the community at large. If you are a skilled photographer, we would love to include your gift in our branding and content creation. We would also like to create space for those who are learning to become better photographers.
